Addressing Police Reforms in Bahrain

Latest reports show that a former head of Scotland Yard (Yates) and the Commissioner of Miami police (Timoney) are both being sent to Bahrain to reform the police forces of this country in the result of the BICI report.

It is interesting that Yates has recently left Scotland Yard over the phone tapping scandal in  the UK earlier this year. However, both the officers have records of reform in their respected former jobs.

It is an interesting move by the Bahraini regime, one perhaps Iran may seek to hold on to when it is inciting anti-Western sentiment in the protesters in Bahrain. By painting the monarchy as pro-Western, even as a Western peon, Iran will increase its influence in the country.
